How do I get to Alma-Via Guesthouse?

Alma Via is located in the charming village of Alma Vii, right in the heart of Transylvania. Distance to Sibiu is 65 km, to Medias 15 km, and to Sighisoara 45 km. Please find directions to Alma-Via here

Is there Internet at Alma-Via Guesthouse?

Yes, we have WiFi free of charge on our whole premises. The connection to our provider is via a fiber link.

Is there mobile phone reception in Alma Vii?

No, there is no mobile reception in Alma Vii (the exception is DIGI mobile service). However you are of course welcome to use our landline, should you wish to make a phone call.

Is there a shop in Alma Vii?

There is a little shop with very basic supplies in Alma Vii

Is the water safe to drink at Alma-Via?

Yes, the water is safe to drink.

What are the opening hours for the restaurant?

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the guests of our guesthouse. For outside guests that would like to eat at our restaurant, please contact us in advance at (0269) 702710.

Why are no flying, burning lanterns permitted?

A sky lantern, also known as Kǒngmíng lantern, or Chinese lantern, is a small hot air balloon made of paper, with an opening at the bottom where a small fire is suspended. Alma Vii has lots of barns full of dry materials. We already experienced a big, destructive fire in the past and the village doesn’t allow the use of flying lanterns.

Is Alma-Via Guesthouse open during wintertime?

Yes, with a few exceptions we are open all year round. The rooms are nice and cozy in the wintertime as well. You should however inquire about possible temperature-related changes in the operation of the Restaurant Barn during the cold season. It might not be feasible to heat the barn if there are not enough guests using it.

Where can I find out more about current travel restrictions for Romania?

Currently we do not accept Creditcards. Only cash payments or invoices are possible.
